We are the crew of St. Somewhere. Gary has taken a break from flying airplanes and Irene has recently retired from a career as an employee benefits attorney. On a lark about ten years ago, we took a sailing class on San Diego Bay and were hooked immediately. We love to travel and began chartering sailboats in the Caribbean every chance we could get. After encountering cruising sailors in their natural habitat (a marina bar), we resolved to one day join their ranks. We moved from Colorado to Florida, bought our boat, and downsized our life.
Gary is from Breese, a small town in rural Illinois. Hobbies include playing the guitar (poorly) and learning things about boats the hard way. Irene is from Chicago and upon leaving her law partnership immediately learned to sew by re-upholstering the entire boat. She enjoys cooking and painting.
